Romanian Ceremony Customs

Romanian bridal customs are distinctive and enjoyable. If you are planning to participate a romanian wedding bash there are two things to remember: get a good day sleep the night before and be prepared to eat a ton. The majority of marriage parties can last up to ten hrs, and food and beverages are served throughout the nighttime.

They choose godparents ( nasi ) to play a role similar to that of the parents, and the couple is not the only ones who are involved in the wedding planning. Typically, associates of the pair or married spouses act as nasi. They even play a significant part in the religion company and marriage festival.

Superstitions and game are common at weddings. The phrase” stealing the bride” is one of the least common among foreigners. Before the ceremony, the groom and his friends visit her home, where they plant pine trees, before trying to” steal” the bride by bargaining with her family.

Another custom is the “money dancing.” When a male wants to dance with the bride, they has pay her. She wears her outfit or belt with the income she gets. She will no longer rely on her husband materially and will be separate in a symbolic way.

Most of the time, a huge marriage has a band that plays all night long- from foreign songs to classic romanian songs. Some marriages feature additional enjoyment, such as a party performance or a well-known designer.
